Winter Light
The Brown Library Sterling College I am very happy with the display space in the Art Gallery within Sterling College's Brown Library. Thanks to Petra Vogel and Barbara Morrow for inviting me to show my work here. If you are anywhere near Sterling College from February 6 to March 6, please stop in to see my photos. There will be a reception on Friday, February 15 from 4:30 - 6 PM. It is open to the public.
The Bee's Knees Cafe
The Bee's Knees Thanks to Sharon Deitz for inviting me to display my photographs at The Bee's Knees Cafe in Morrisville, Vermont in January. The Bee's Knees was a great display space for my work. The fabulous food and cool atmosphere made it even better. We had an awesome party one night with many friends coming to celebrate the show and to enjoy Sharon Deitz's super delicious, healthy and local food. If you haven't been to the Bee's Knees, check it out ! You'll love it. The Bee's Knees features home cooked meals which emphasize locally grown and organic ingredients. It has a casual coffee house atmosphere. The Bee's Knees serves local beer and organic wine. Sharon Deitz schedules live music most nights at the Bee's Knees. If you go to the Bee's Knees during the day on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday say hi to Kelly Evans. Kelly Evans works at Hazen's Notch when she isn't at the Bee's Knees. Lucky ! Sharon Deitz opened the Bee's Knees in 2003. Since then her focus has been on the local community. When Sharon decided to renovate the 100-year old building to add more seating and a bigger kitchen, her customers encouraged her to turn to the community for financing. Customers can buy $1,000 “community supported restaurant” certificates to help finance the expansion. Investors will receive $1,080 in vouchers for food. For those who can make a $5,000 unsecured loan to the Bee's Knees, they will receive a 4 percent return on their investment and a 10 percent discount on food and beverages. This innovative approach has enabled Sharon Deitz to raise $20,000 in community capital to renovate and expand the Bee's Knees. Here's wishing Sharon Deitz and the Bee's Knees a succesful expansion.
The Gallery Within
February through March 2008
The Gallery Within This is my Home Gallery. You can see the images which are in the Winter Light show if you can't make it to Craftsbury. We're open most days from 9-5 but call [802.326.4799] or email images@rolfanderson.net if you're coming some distance just to make sure someone is there when you arrive. The Gallery Within is at the Hazen's Notch Association's Welcome Center where people come to go cross country skiing and snowshoeing December through the end of March. Here you'll find framed prints in many sizes. You can see and order many different images in a wide variety of sizes. There are notecards too. Plan on getting a cup of herbal tea while you warm yourself by the woodstove and enjoy the view of the Jay Mountains. |
